Description
Our biggest peg. No taper, straight shank.
The 3/16” straight shank is the largest peg we make, a full 3/16” diameter from top to bottom, with no taper. It’s built for boards drilled at 3/16”: large presentation boards, club and tournament boards, and designs where the peg is meant to be seen and felt.
Where our tapered pegs are about glide, the straight shank is about grip. The full-diameter body fills the hand, seats with a solid feel, and gives the board a bold, substantial look that smaller pegs can’t match. On a big walnut tournament board, these look like they belong there, because they do.
Machined straight, held straight.
A straight shank leaves nowhere to hide: any wobble in the machining shows up as a loose or tight fit. Ours are precision-machined in our central Minnesota shop and finished with local vendors, held to a consistent diameter so every peg seats the same way in every 3/16” hole. That’s the difference between a manufacturer and a reseller: we control the tolerance, not just the catalog.
