Description
Gapple brings you a cribbage board worth keeping forever. Designed and made in the USA, it’s machined from solid aluminum and finished with a hard anodized coating that produces rich, lasting color — the kind of piece you display proudly between games, not something you tuck away in a closet. The weight tells you immediately that this is something different. This is a board your grandchildren will still be playing on.
Custom Engraving — Make Your Board Truly One of a Kind
Laser engraving on anodized aluminum produces sharp, striking results — crisp contrast between the engraved metal and the colored surface. A name, a date, a family crest, a short message. Because the engraving cuts through the anodized layer into the metal itself, it’s just as permanent as the board.

Awesome board, it feels like it will last forever.
Multiple people have mentioned that it would be nice if there were lines at each of the 5 marks. Otherwise, it is awesome. I will be ordering them as gifts.
Customer service is outstanding as well. Very responsive and when I reached out about a certain color that was not in stock he reached out when they had more supply.

We ordered a blue colored aluminum cribbage board from Bryce at Gapple through their website. The board is boxed its own Gapple product box, and sleeved in a plastic sleeve. This box was well packaged inside a shipping box. This was very nice to see after dealing with so many places that barely put any packing around products inside shipping boxes. The board arrived in great shape.
After years of using wonky, warped, and generally poorly made cribbage boards, it has been a pleasure using this board.
The board is made very well, and is easy to use. All edges are smooth. There are no burrs, nicks, or rough spots. The anodizing is even. The board has a very very light graining finish that gives the board a matte finish – no reflections under bright light.
The drilling of holes and the etching of lines and numbers appears to be done after the anodizing process. This means the natural aluminum color shows through. It is visible in the interior of the holes, and makes them easy to see for pegging.
Because of its weight the Gapple board is stable and does not move when playing and pegging. The peg holes are even, uniformly drilled, and their spacing is comfortable. The pegs fit the holes perfectly without leaning or wobbling. The pegs themselves are even, uniform, and comfortable to grab and handle.
This is a very well thought out and well manufactured board. It is great to see a board like this being made.

This is beautiful! My wife and I play cribbage every day and this board adds to the experience. I think it will last forever–we could probably play it through a giant meteor strike or zombie apocalypse and it would still be there.

I bought the green color and I like it. Comfortable to the eyes. The board is heavy and stays in place nicely.

This is a solid, well-made, attractive, knock-your-socks-off, cribbage board. Most has already been said and I will second all those accolades. It is heavier than one would think when thinking “aluminum”. This is NOT your grandmother’s aluminum. This is a solid hunk of anodized aircraft grade aluminum…think “steel”. It is beautifully machined, with clean, clear lines and numerals. Each peg hole is drilled precisely, making pegging a pleasure and easy so to do. It truly feels like it will last several lifetimes. I have owned wooden boards in the past, but most now seem to come out of Asia. This is American-made and full of quality. Spend the money, you will not regret it!

The board is amazing and it’s the perfect gift. I really appreciate the communication and extra effort put in to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. I do wish copper pegs were available, but I’m almost certain if I asked they would have been swapped for me, that’s on me 🙂

the quality is fantastic. my only complaint is the holes are hard to identify, The holes don’t have much space between the groups of 5 and have a tendency to blend in with the board…. overall still a beautiful board
